An arm lift is a procedure performed to remove excess skin and fat from the arms. Also known as a brachioplasty, an arm lift can also address rashes associated with the excess skin and well as improve contour of the arms. Despite weight loss and exercise, the skin continues to hang, causing patients to hide their arms in long sleeves or baggy clothing. The procedures takes 2-3 hours to perform and can include liposuction. Patients are asked to wear garments for several weeks and refrain from any heavy lifting for 3-4 weeks. While incision placement varies, in general, is placed in the least noticeable area, tailored to the patient’s lifestyle and needs.
